As a solo female traveler myself, I wanted to create an app meant to make planning and navigating a solo trip as seamless as possible. We wanted to create an interactive app that conceptualizes using Augmented Reality to travel confidently and safely.
This project was a collaboration between me and Esther Cho. Working as a duo allowed us to both take on responsibility while being able to delegate tasks between us, with me as User Experience Lead and Esther as User Interface Lead.

THE RESEARCH:
How do solo travelers feel?
Survey done through Google Forms
Our target users were people who travel frequently going abroad alone and those who are planning to travel alone.
Objectives: Survey people who have traveled alone before and gather information on how they plan their trip and the challenges people encounter
User Study Summary:
Solo travelers are mostly in their 20-30s and 40-50s.
Language barriers are the most problematic issue when traveling alone. Most travelers use Google Translate to solve this problem. Other top challenges were safety, finding food/ places to go, and transportation.
People use Google search the most to plan their trip.
THE RESEARCH:
